Liza

The 207-unit Liza project opened in early 2024. Liza is one of the few residential communities in the country that will be certified under the International Living Future Institute’s Living Building Petal program. This program seeks to encourage regenerative buildings that not only minimize their reliance on our planet’s precious natural resources but provide positive environmental impacts. ILFI’s rigorous standards mean residents can feel good about how their housing impacts our environment. Liza is also one of the earliest projects to participate in Seattle’s Living Building Pilot Program. The LBPP involves achieving additional energy and water targets, making Liza an even higher performing building.

The building has reduced its overall energy draw by 25% beyond the City of Seattle’s rigorous energy code and is expected to save approximately 760,000 kilowatt-hours annually – equivalent to the annual electricity usage of 72 US households. Liza achieves net-positive energy by offsetting 105% of the energy used on the building with both an on- and an off-site renewable energy. The on-site rooftop solar array was maximized to provide as much renewable energy as possible and even extends off the side of the building! Additionally, the project supports a wind farm located in Forsan, Texas that will supply clean, renewable wind energy to one of the country’s dirtiest grids and helps Liza achieve net-positive energy for the next 15 years.

Unit interiors will feature shaker cabinets, soothing palettes inspired by the project’s proximity to Lake Union and air conditioning.  Common areas include a fitness center and multiple lounges and decks that take advantage of the incredible views of downtown Seattle, the Space Needle, Lake Union, Gasworks Park and the neighborhood park across the street.

The Hemlock

The 297-unit Hemlock is a modern, new community nestled in the heart of the thriving Greenwood neighborhood.

Center Steps

Washington Holdings built the 269-unit project, Center Steps in 2020.  Located in Seattle’s Uptown (Lower Queen Anne) neighborhood, the project provides a connection between the drama of the Seattle Center, an active civic, arts and gathering place; and the residential character of Seattle’s historic Queen Anne neighborhood.  This mixed-use development features five retail spaces and a plethora of resident amenity spaces including a fitness center, multiple lounges, a public plaza and through-block connection with sculptures, and expansive rooftop gathering spaces.  The residential units feature high-end appliances, quartz countertops, air-conditioning or ports and custom closet systems.  Center Steps is Built Green 3-Star and Green Globe One Globe certified.
